26 Iowa Sheriffs Now Backing Ron DeSantis For President
ATLANTA, Ga. – Never Back Down announced 26 Iowa sheriffs are now endorsing Gov. Ron DeSantis for President, two dozen more than any other candidate in the field to date. Leaders in Iowa’s law enforcement community attribute the rapidly growing support among Iowa’s law enforcement community to the Governor’s track record and clear-eyed vision for law and order. Over the summer, the DeSantis campaign announced the Law Enforcement for DeSantis Coalition – a nationwide group of 90 sheriffs to push back against the border crisis and lawlessness.
“Our communities are facing increasingly complex threats to our safety, peace of mind, and ability to protect ourselves,” said Wayne County Sheriff Keith Davis. “We need a proven leader and an adult in the room to turn things around – DeSantis is head and shoulders above the rest in both categories.”
“No one in the presidential race has stood up for law enforcement more than Governor DeSantis,” added Hardin County Sheriff Dave McDaniel. “His track record of backing the blue in Florida, protecting local resources, and curbing illegal immigration is resonating.”
