Biden-Harris 2024 Veterans Day Ad Highlights President Biden’s PACT Act

In honor of Veterans Day, Biden-Harris 2024 is airing a TV ad spotlighting the PACT Act, President Biden’s historic legislation that expands health care and benefits for veterans exposed to toxic chemicals and their families.

“Proud” shares testimonials from Le Roy and Rosie Torres from Robstown, Texas. Le Roy is a veteran whose health has suffered as a result of exposure to toxic burn pits while on active duty. In the spot, Le Roy and Rosie explain that – like so many other veterans – Le Roy struggled to get the health care he needed after returning from service. They also speak to the immense toll of lacking access to care on the entire family. That all changed, they say, when Joe Biden signed the PACT Act into law.

The spot will air over Veterans Day weekend, tapping into the viewership of service academy college football games across the country, the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia markets during the Penn State football game, and the Pittsburgh and Milwaukee markets ahead of the Packers-Steelers NFL matchup. The media buy will also air during “Good Morning America” and “CBS This Morning” in national battleground markets and nationally on CNN and MSNBC.

“I’ve seen President Biden’s steadfast commitment to our country’s Veterans firsthand,” said Biden-Harris 2024 Campaign Co-Chair and Combat Veteran U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth. “That’s why he led the charge to get the bipartisan PACT Act signed into law, securing long-overdue benefits and services for toxic exposed Veterans and delivering on his promise to support them and their families. Our nation’s Veterans deserve more than lip service from Washington – they deserve to be honored with real action from their elected officials. President Biden uniquely understands what Veterans and their families need and has a proven record of delivering for them.”
