Harris-Walz Campaign Release New Ad, “Paycheck” Emphasizing How Vice President Harris’ Opportunity Economy Will Financially Benefit Black Americans
This week, Team Harris-Walz released a new ad, entitled “Paycheck” as part of a five week paid media blitz targeting Black voters across seven battleground states: Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, parts of North Carolina, Georgia, Nevada, and Arizona. As part of efforts by the Harris-Walz campaign to reach Black voters where they are, the ad campaign will run on targeted cable and satellite TV, national Black syndicated radio programs, statewide sports radio stations, and on all statewide urban radio across battleground states including more rural/unmeasured markets in Georgia, parts of North Carolina, and Michigan.
“Paycheck” lays out Vice President Harris’ targeted plan to directly address the top economic concerns for Black Americans ahead of Election Day, including high food and grocery costs, housing affordability, and making their dollar stretch further. In the ad, the Vice President discusses in detail how her vision for an opportunity economy – where Americans can get ahead, not just get by — will help hardworking Americans keep more of their paychecks in their pockets each month by implementing a federal ban on price gouging for food and groceries, providing historic $25,000 down payment assistance to first-time homeowners, including more than half a million Black first-time homebuyers.
In contrast, Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda would be a complete disaster for Black America across the board, gutting critical programs like Social Security, Obamacare, Medicare and Medicaid, and terminating student debt relief, in addition to increasing costs for hardworking Black Americans across the country.
"Vice President Harris has been clear: she is not taking a single voter for granted and is putting in the work to earn each and every vote,” said Harris-Walz Principal Deputy Campaign Manager Quentin Fulks. “She has led this administration in delivering historic progress for our community – more Black Americans with health care coverage now than ever before, not to mention Black employment hitting a record high. As President, she is committed to creating an opportunity economy that provides Black Americans with the tools needed to not just get by, but get ahead. Black voters are going to show up for the Harris-Walz ticket come Election Day because they know there is only one candidate in this election truly prioritizing their economic well-being.”
The Black-voter-focused paid media blitz is the latest segment of continued efforts by the Harris-Walz campaign to engage with Black voters across critical battleground states through diverse mediums on the issues that matter most to the community at the heart of this election.

You work hard for your paycheck, that starts with the cost of housing for first-time home buyers. She's offering $225,000 in down payment assistance to build wealth.
Her plan offers up to $50,000 in new startup tax deductions. This is exactly how we can build generational wealth and strengthen our community so we can get the chance to do more than just get by, but to get ahead.
