DeSantis Banned COVID Vaccine Passports and Mandates, Protected Jobs, and Signed the Strongest Medical Freedom Legislation in America
Thanks to Governor Ron DeSantis, Floridians always had a personal choice about COVID vaccines – never mandated or coerced as had been demanded by Dr. Fauci. DeSantis led the way in banning vaccine passports, fighting Biden’s unlawful OSHA mandate, and protecting jobs by prohibiting companies from requiring COVID vaccination for employment. DeSantis signed the strongest medical freedom protections in the country and has taken bold action to hold the federal government and Big Pharma accountable.
As President, DeSantis will rein in the public health bureaucracy, break the unholy alliance between government and Big Pharma, and ensure that federal agencies like the CDC, NIH, and FDA will never again be empowered to infringe on Americans’ rights.
DESANTIS’ RECORD
• DeSantis always encouraged Floridians to make informed decisions for themselves about COVID vaccination, with no pressure and the best available information. COVID vaccines were first offered to those at the highest risk from the virus – seniors. Florida was the only state that declined to order COVID vaccines for young children, due to insufficient evidence that any potential benefits would outweigh the risks.
• While the Biden Administration tried to force a vaccine-only strategy, DeSantis sought to provide patients with effective treatment options, chiefly monoclonal antibodies. Under DeSantis, Florida led the nation in helping COVID patients access these lifesaving therapies during the Delta variant wave in 2021.
• DeSantis was the first governor to ban vaccine passports; in Florida, neither government agencies nor businesses can require individuals to provide proof of COVID vaccination as a condition of entry or service.
• In 2021, DeSantis announced a lawsuit against the Biden Administration’s unconstitutional OSHA vaccine mandate. DeSantis also signed legislation that prevents employers, schools, and government entities from mandating COVID vaccines.
• This year, DeSantis signed the strongest medical freedom legislation in the country to codify permanent protections from the biomedical security state. DeSantis’ medical freedom laws protect Floridians from all mRNA and emergency use authorization vaccine mandates, ban discrimination in healthcare based on COVID vaccine status, empower patients to choose alternative treatments, and protect doctors’ freedom of conscience and speech.
• To hold the federal government and Big Pharma accountable, DeSantis successfully petitioned the Florida Supreme Court to convene a Statewide Grand Jury to investigate crimes and wrongdoing committed against Floridians related to the COVID vaccine. DeSantis appointed Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo, who is overseeing state studies on vaccine safety and adverse events.
