MN GOP Announces Staff Changes
MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Today Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman David Hann announced that Executive Director Mike Lonergan will step down effective Friday, June 23. Political Director Andy Aplikowski will serve as interim executive director during the transition.
“While we are sad to see Mike go, I appreciate his tireless efforts in leading our staff. When I took office following the resignation of the previous chair, Mike and the team set to work carrying out my vision of building and growing our party. We raised more than $4 million and turned out more Republican voters than any GOP ticket in state history. I appreciate Mike’s efforts in helping us to keep building a strong foundation for the coming elections. I wish him and his family the best.” – Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman David Hann
“I am grateful to Chairman Hann for the opportunity to be part of his team. His priorities of bolstering fundraising, reaching out to communities taken for granted by the Democrats, and investing in campaign infrastructure will be key to success in the years to come, and I am proud to have been part of these efforts. Republicans will continue to make great strides in Minnesota with Chairman Hann at the helm. I look forward to taking on new challenges in the near future and in the meantime enjoying some time with my family.” – Republican Party of Minnesota Executive Director Mike Lonergan
